Marriage Ministry @ TFH

At The Father's House we want to stop the current trend resulting in over half of all marriages ending in divorce. God designed us to live in harmony and teamwork with one mate for life, "til death do us part". This is the foundation of the home, which is the foundation for society You may be a young person recognizing the need for Godly, Biblical guidance for the future. You may be planning marriage and need solid preparation for success. You may already be married and in need of enriching advice or life-changing counsel. The Father's House has the tools and programs available to meet your need. Contact the church office for more detail on any of the marriage ministries.

Pre-marriage - If you are a young couple getting serious about the possibility of marriage, there may be a small group available to help you evaluate your relationship while staying within the boundaries of purity that God has established. If you are interested, call the church office at 455-7790 and see what is available now. The cost will vary according to the material being used.

Pre-marital Counseling - Before being married by one of the TFH pastors, a pre-marital counseling program is required. This program uses a questionnaire that covers 16 different topics that often cause conflicts in marriage. You will be mentored by a couple who can help you resolve any issues that may surface. Call the church office to set up your appointment for pre-marital counseling.

Young Married's Bible Study - Establish your marriage on God's Word and get to know couples in the church who are beginning their lives together also. Contact the church office for details about ongoing small groups.

Dynamic Marriage - This 9-week intensive study is based on the books "His Needs, Her Needs" and "Love Busters". It is offered in the spring and fall each year, is limited to twelve couples per class, and will enhance the quality of your marriage regardless of what condition it is in. The cost is $160 per couple and includes two textbooks, two workbooks, two course handbooks and an audio CD. Sign up at the Information Counter in the foyer or contact the church office.

Love and Respect - This is a very dynamic video presentation by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and is offered periodically. It is great for anyone considering marriage, currently married or even divorced. It involves 5 two-hour sessions and teaches how God designed marriage to work in spite of the fact He designed men and women to be completely different from each other. The cost is $5/person for the course workbook, and may be offered at the church or in a small group setting. Call the church office for details.

"911" Counseling - If your marriage is not what you want it to be, we have both trained counselors and experienced mentors who are willing to work with you to achieve God's plan. Your marriage need not end, resulting in a broken home, painful relationships and hurting children. Call the church office and we will assure you receive the help you need to have the rewarding marriage relationship God intended.
