The Father's House

Church Service Location

Visiting a new church can be intimidating

What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go? We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit.

Below are some frequently asked questions.

What's a service like?

All of our services are similar, with different worship teams and campus pastors and identical sermons at all 4 TFH locations and last about 75-80 minutes. Typically, services begin with 20-30 minutes of worship, followed by a message from a pastor. All weekend services include kids classes. These are fun and safe environments for kids to learn about Jesus and the Bible in an age-appropriate way.

We have services in Vacaville, Napa, the east bay, and Roseville. We also have a TFH Slavic Campus at our Roseville location for those who need a Russian-speaking service.

Preaching

We preach Jesus. This means we teach from the Bible, because the Bible is all about Jesus.

Often we’ll go through whole books of the Bible, verse by verse, or a sermon series on a relevant topic. The sermon usually lasts about 35-45 minutes. If you want to hear a sample of the preaching before you come, all of our sermons are here at tfh.org for your listening enjoyment!

Worship

At The Father's House, you may be surprised to hear music that is louder and better than you expected for "church music".

We have an amazing community of musicians and singers who give their best every weekend to make our worship experiences musically and spiritually amazing. It's all for one purpose—not to experience a band, but to experience God through our times of singing. (If it's all a bit too loud for you, don't worry—we offer free earplugs.)

Where do my kids go?

At TFH our Children’s Ministry is much more than “childcare”.

We intentionally structure our children’s ministry to help children learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids.

If you are a guest,

when you arrive you will be greeted by someone from our Guest Services Team. Our team members will be happy to escort you to the appropriate room for your child, take you to the front of the line, and get checked in.

Security is important to us

During the check-in process, each parent receives a security tag that matches the name tag of their children. At the end of class, our team will check both tags to make sure the correct adult is picking up your child.

All our staff and kids volunteers have undergone a background check to ensure your children can learn in a safe enviroment.

Our children’s ministry is broken up into the following ages:

Questions?

Any member of our staff and volunteers will be happy to help you! Also, if you have any questions about TFH Kids before attending a service, you can always contact any of the staff or pastors to find answers to those questions.

Where should I park?

When you enter the church parking lot, someone from our Guest Service Team will be directing traffic. We have special spots reserved for our guests, so please watch for an attendant and park in our reserved area. Please follow the instructions of the parking team. We try to structure parking in a way that allows the maximum amount of people to attend our services.

What Should I Wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. In the summertime, it's not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their "Sunday best," and that's fine too! We think you'll fit in no matter how you dress.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

Offering boxes are located near the doors as you exit the sanctuary, and in other convenient locations throughout our campuses. If you're visiting with us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering boxes. If you consider TFH your church home, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider giving. You can give by check or cash at weekend services or any time during the week when you're on campus, or you can set up an online giving account on tfh.org/give.
